The Myler Flat Shank Low Port Comfort Snaffle (MB 04) is from Myler’s Level 2 range and boasts a 7″ flat shank (this offers the rider moderate leverage) made from stainless steel, in addition to a mouthpiece that is produced from polished sweet iron, which oxidizes when it comes into contact with moisture in the horse’s mouth, releasing a sweet taste. It also possesses a copper inlay placed on the interior section of the bars to encourage salivation. The 7/16″ feature a pronounced curve that enables the horse to swallow comfortably and thus remain calm and focused, and the 1/4″ port allows the rider to introduce tongue relief. This bit is available in the following sizes: 4.75″, 5″ and 5.5″ .
