Description
The Myler 5″ HBT Shank with Triple Barrel Mullen Mouthpiece (MB 32-3) is a Level 2 Myler bit and is produced from stainless steel. The three barrels found on the center of the mouthpiece provide more flexibility than a standard solid bar, meaning that the horse is able to lift up the tongue, making swallowing easier. This more “forgiving” nature of the bit means that its well suited to any horse that has suffered damage to the mouth, or those that have a tendency to fall behind the bit.
Further, the mouthpiece is produced from polished sweet iron, which oxidizes when it comes into contact with moisture in the horse’s mouth, releasing a sweet taste. It also possesses a copper inlay placed on the interior section of the bars to encourage salivation. The 7/16″ bars themselves feature a pronounced curve which makes swallowing more comfortable. This bit is available in two different sizes: 4.75″ and 5″.
