A pair of premium quality “J” hooks made from the best stainless steel available. These “J” shaped hooks are designed to connect the curb chain to the bit that you are using. The most common use of these hooks is on mouth pieces that boast either a shank or a ported mouth piece (Kimberwick, Pelham and many western bits are good examples). The combination of the “J” hooks and the curb chain generates an area of pressure just under the chin of the horse, which encourages it to yield to the bit (and therefore your instruction) and flex at the poll.
